REVIEW:

Back in 1988, director Kevin Tenney introduced the world to Angela. And one Halloween Angela decided to throw a party.

Here is the gist of the film.

On the night of Halloween, 10 teens decide to go to a party at an abandoned funeral parlor. Known as "Hull House", rumored to be built on an evil patch of land & underground stream, is the place. While starting the party, the teens gather around a big mirror to perform a seance...BIG MISTAKE.

They awaken some evil force and find themselves trapped and taken over one by one. Now it's a battle for who can survive and cross over the stream before going to hell....

If you are a horror fan, or claim to be a horror fan, and you haven’t seen Night of the Demons, I am at a loss.

I remember the first time I saw this film, I was 10, woke up at 4am one Saturday morning because this film was playing on Showtime. I was hooked. The characters in this film, every single one of them, are so unlikeable; I just wanted to see each of them pegged off one at a time.

The character of Angela, at the time, sent chills down my spine. She was played by Amelia Kinkade…and all do respect to her, this franchise is really the only thing she is known for. The film being such a low-budget project for the time, yes, it holds up today. But the acting does not.

This film boasts some of the worst acting put on film that I’ve every seen. Well, if the acting is so bad, why do I like the movie so much. I like the film because when it comes to classic, memorable horror films, this one definitely rates high up on that list.

The imagery is so over the top, if you’ve seen the movie, you know you will never forget the first time you saw Linnea Quigley press the lip stick through her tit after drawing all over the face and chest with it.

It’s that kind of level of ridiculousness that makes this film so amazing in my eyes.

I know there are many of you out there that don’t agree with me, and that’s fine. But this film has a very dedicated fan base, and having a fan base like this film has, is what makes it live on.

Overall, I have to say this is one of the biggest guilty pleasures in my entire movie collection. I love the movie so much, and yet, there is so many reasons as to why I shouldn't. Do yourself a favor this halloween...rent this film and check it out if you haven't seen it. You shouldn't be disappointed. It has everything a person could ask for from a cheesy 80's horror flick.

Till Next Time Kiddies…
